PREPARING FOR YOUR PERFORMANCE TESTING EVENT

OVERVIEW

Performance testing is designed to assess your physical fitness ability. Having a true understanding of fitness capability can provide you the opportunity to truly utilise your strengths, as well as identify the areas for improvement.

Performance testing events hosted by GlobalScout provide everyone equal opportunity to complete a range of protocols under controlled conditions.

The protocols selected for your event have been specifically chosen to assess elements that are relevant to you.

PREPARATION

For best results, consistency in preparation is key.

Use the following guidance to ensure that you prepare yourself properly this time, and for all future assessments:

  • Rest
    • Aim for a full night’s sleep to allow your body and mind to rest
  • Food
    • Aim to consume a balanced diet within the days prior to assessment
    • Ensure you consume a balanced meal within the 2-4 hours pre-assessment to provide you sufficient energy for performance
  • Hydration
    • Aim to consume 2L of water consistently in the days leading up to your assessment
    • Have a water bottle available throughout the day
  • Exercise
    • Avoid high-intensity exercise in the 48 hours before assessment to eliminate fatigue
  • Clothing
    • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to perform without distraction
    • Ensure you wear comfortable, suitable footwear
